This is my fifth arrival into Zagreb, Croatia. I came back again because I love it here. I don’t know exactly why. I met a Californian outside a ruin pub back in Budapest, and his wife had passed, and so he had been traveling solo up from Georgia (the country) and Turkey. He had been in Zagreb just before Budapest, and he said he really liked Zagreb, but he couldn’t readily explain why! Haha, I know the feeling.

It was recently (Oct 18) “Cravat Day” in Croatia, when the (Croatian) invention of the necktie is celebrated. Accordingly, statues around Zagreb bear neckties in recognition.

Here, the source is a set of Google Maps reviews for a restaurant in Zagreb called “Jelly Fish in Space” (unique name, eh?), where most user ratings are 5 stars, but those that don’t like it have some “insightful” feedback.
- “Great restaurant, little sweet fora place… especially when the girl is honored”
- “Very correct service and reduced waiting time. The waiter sputtered Spanish which was especially appreciated.”
