Below is Major Meander’s first installment of a series on Google Maps translations of establishment reviews from foreign languages. Here, the source is a set of Google Maps reviews (translated from Czech) for a museum bistro in Prague.
- “I would point out the mug mugs…”
- “And because her name was salami, she didn’t see much salami.”
- “But I will still recommend the bistro for the exam.”
- “I recommend tasting canapes and a wreath.”
- “Their bread was lost from the stone exhibition.” (Not a poor translation, it would seem, just biting commentary.)
Today’s travel quote:
Travel far enough, you meet yourself.

Yesss!! The Google review translations are back. These were one of my favorite features from your previous blog. My favorite is the salami one 🙂
Thanks! I enjoy these too.
