Around Town

Here are some photos from the lovely city of Prague in September. It’s rainier and colder than this time last year! So these photos were captured between showers.

Our favorite city park anywhere – Stromovka
Stromovka
Vinohrady neighborhood wine bar
Vinohrady vineyard
Another top park, with a koi pond
Paddle boating on the Vltava
Lots of great landscaping around the city

Today’s follow-up note: With regard to the smart watch cable, I did eventually receive a text message notifying me that the cable I had ordered was now available in the store for pickup. I went to the store on Sunday, entered my order number at the kiosk, paid, and then received a printed ticket to take to a counter to obtain my cable. Funnily, the kiosk screen displayed the following message in English during ticket printout: “Take your ticket to continue to deliver the goods.” Uh, I guess I see what is meant, but it’s a strange way to say it! It sounds like I, not they, should perform the delivery.

Today’s dad joke: What do you a call a guy from Prague who falls on the ground, but rebounds right back up?

A bounced Czech!

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.
